Why Us - Our Story

Patalah Academy was born from the personal journey of MonaMona is a Saudi teacher and mother. When she had a daughter with Down syndrome, she began searching for the best way to support her. She discovered a philosophy Montessori, which not only changed her daughter's developmental trajectory, but reshaped her entire view of education.

About Mona – Founder of Patlah Academy

Mona, the founder of the Academy, is a Saudi educator and certified Montessori trainer with a strong academic background and an inspiring story in the field of education.

Among her key qualifications and experiences:

  • Certified Trainer (EDY) – University of Manchester.
  • Holds a Montessori Diploma (3–6 years) – Canada.
  • Holds a Montessori Diploma (0–3 years) – Egypt.
  • Trainer at Dar Al-Hekma University (2015 – 2018).

  • Holds a Montessori Diploma in Arabic Language – Bunyan Academy, Egypt.

  • Holds a TOT (Training of Trainers) Certificate.

  • Contributor to the development project of the Saudi National Kindergarten Curriculum.

Abrar Al-Jahni - Executive Director

Abrar Al-Jahni leads Batala Academy with years of administrative and educational experience, combining organizational proficiency with a clear vision to develop a specialized Montessori educational environment. Under her leadership, the academy has successfully strengthened its presence as a leading platform for empowering mothers and teachers and providing high-quality training programs.

Abrar possesses the ability to formulate practical strategies that combine innovation and sustainability, which has helped the academy build a trusted reputation locally and regionally. She also believes in the importance of investing in human capital and works to provide a stimulating work environment for the academy's team to ensure continued excellence in educational services.

With her leadership vision, Abrar seeks to expand the academy's reach to reach more women and children, with a primary goal in mind: creating a generation that is more confident, curious, and capable of facing life's challenges.
